ABOUT ME

I'm Samantha Imrich. I'm extremely passionate about all things science fiction and horror. I love to draw monsters inspired by real-life biology and cult clasic horror films. I grew up watching Hellraiser, The Thing, and Aliens to name a few favorites.
My love for horror and biology combine in my artwork to create monsters and organic textures that inspire fear and awe in those who see them. Now making monsters is as second nature to me as breathing, and is a cornerstone of my life. Drawing is not only a creative outlet for my thoughts, but a way for me to let out pent-up energy, express feelings or thoughts I can't put into words, document my fierce and vast imagination, and most of all share what I see with you, the viewer.
A lot of my creations are to be Feared, yes, but I hope my work shows others that what we fear can be equally awe-inspiringly beautiful as anything else in this amazing world we live in. Because that's how I see the world, and I want everyone else to have the opportunity to share in that beauty I see. In all of its creepy and unsettling glory!
